At 1000 hours we received a callout that a camper staying at Stone Creek Campground in Idyllwild got separated from his group the day before and had not returned to the campsite. Some of the team was on scene within 2 minutes as they were heading out to hike RMRU’s annual Hiking Challenge. While the team was gearing up we had a report that Riverside Aviation Rescue 9 picked up our missing hiker yesterday and dropped him off at Hemet Hospital. All team members returned home.
RMRU Members Involved: Matt Dunlap, Edgar Gelaber, Andy Hayt, Eric Holden, Dave Kosmal, Shani McCullough, Solan Watts
