Sage Missing Person

At approximately 11am RMRU was activated to assist with the search for a missing person in the foothills near Sage. Three members responded and, after initial investigation that provided us with a shoeprint to track, deployed into the field to make a hasty search of the area.
The missing person was an elderly gentleman who had left the house late the previous evening. Daytime temperatures were in the low-100s, so time was of the essence in locating the individual. Several members of DSSAR and Riverside Search Dogs responded later in the day as we built a containment area to narrow down the search.
After a long afternoon of tracking footprints through dense brush, the individual was located deceased close to his residence. RMRU extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends of this individual.
