On Wednesday, May 10th, RMRU responded to a planned search in a semi-rural area of Riverside, CA for an individual that had been missing from a nearby residence for approximately four weeks.
The search areas consisted of two distinct terrains: 1) narrow overgrown canyons near residences and 2) relatively open areas and fields. These two areas were divided into large acreage sections. The “ground” resources – RMRU, DSSAR and K-9 were assigned to the canyons and the equine mounted teams were assigned the more open areas.
Within an hour or so after the search teams had been deployed the missing person was found deceased and the Riverside County Coroner was notified.
