Lost Hiker in Park

On 9/12/22 at 0140, RMRU received a call for a lost hiker in Bogart Park, Beaumont, CA. Team Members James Eckhardt, Matt Frenken and Eric Holden responded to the call along with Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Upon arrival at the command post in Bogart Park, James Eckhardt confirmed with RCSD that a deputy was in voice contact with the lost hiker.
James and Matt repositioned to the location where the deputy was in voice contact with the subject with the intention of hiking in and walking the subject out depending on any injuries. At the same time this was happening, Eric Holden arrived at the command post where he witnessed the subject walking down the trail towards the other RCSD deputies on scene. Subject was checked for injuries and turned over to RCSD deputies for further follow up. Mission completed 0330.
