On Saturday evening, Gwenda called me and notified me that I needed to head to Hemet Ryan for a hoist. Two hikers were lost below Little Round Valley, and Rescue 9 was available to perform a hoist. We flew to Little Round Valley and quickly located the two hikers a few hundred feet below the trail. I hoisted down, put the hikers in screamer suits and hoisted them up. We landed at the Sheriff’s Mountain Station to drop the two hikers off to deputies before flying back to Hemet Ryan.
