On Tuesday morning, I got a call from Gwenda notifying me that the Indio Police Department was requesting help with mapping on a search for a missing person in Indio. I picked up the van and headed out to Indio. Upon arriving I was able to gather information on the status of the search from the various agencies that had been searching overnight, and in the morning, before I arrived.
The Border Patrol was able to track the individual for a distance from his last known location but had then lost the track. While I was mapping the areas that had been searched and preparing new assignments, the subject notified his family of his location and was shortly thereafter picked up.
