We received a callout for an overdue hiker that had left the Marion Mt. Trailhead on the 23rd and was due to return the same day. When he was not home by the morning his spouse called 911. As we were in route to the trailhead the subject ended up walking into the Long Valley Ranger station. He spent an unplanned night in the wilderness and was able to self-rescue once the sun came back up.
