Autistic Male Missing

The team was called out for a missing autistic 18-year-old boy in Banning. He had taken his bike out and had not returned. The bike was found a half mile away on a dirt road but no sign of him.
When we arrived, we gathered information and then made 6 search assignments and started sending out teams. Desert Sheriff’s Search and Rescue also arrived with 6 members and were sent out too. In about an hour DSSAR radioed that they had found him.
They had taken their Jeep and were following the dirt roads where they met up with a truck with two people that were helping to search for the boy. DSSAR told them to go west on the road and they were going to go east. West won as the truck came back in ten minutes with our missing boy. DSSAR brought him back to base where he was united with his family.
