We were called out on Thursday Evening around 5 PM. We were told that two hikers were stuck in deep snow and needed help getting back to the Tramway. They said they were near a sign that said Strawberry Cienega 1 ¼ miles. So we thought they were near the State Park Boundary Sign on the Angles Glide Trail heading up to Wellman Divide. The State Park Rangers were coming up from Long valley, so we decided to come in from Humber Park. Les took off hiking and Ralph was his radio contact and while I started driving to Humber Park. When the State Park Rangers got to Wellman Divide they found the two hikers there. So Les turned around before he had reached Saddle Junction and I turned around and headed home. The Rangers hiked the two back to the Tramway.

RMRU team members present: Pete Carlson, Ralph Hoetger, and Les Walker.
