Hemet Hiker Requires Medical Aid

The team was activated at 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, January 12 for a missing hiker at Simpson Park at the south of Hemet. The man's friend had hiked out for help when he became ill. However, the friend could not remember how to get back to where he had left the subject. We searched throughout the night and found the subject about 7:30 a.m. the next morning. The subject was deceased and the mission was turned over to Sheriff’s investigators. We remained on scene until 1:30 p.m. to help evacuate the subject.
