RMRU was requested by the Riverside Sherriff’s Office to assist in the case of a missing 72-year-old female in the unincorporated community of Sage in Riverside County starting at 0800 on December 21, 2024. The subject was reported as showing early signs of dementia and went missing the previous evening.
A total of fifteen (15) RMRU members showed up to assist with the search. Three (3) of those RMRU members were sent to the subject’s house to locate the print from the shoe being worn at the time of the disappearance. At approximately 9am a Silver Alert was activated in hopes the subject would be located by members of the community. At approximately 10am on that same day, RMRU was notified that the subject was found at a local police station after being dropped off by a passerby who identified the subject from the Silver Alert. All RMRU members left the field without incident.
