Also recognized were Desert Sheriff's Search and Rescue, Riverside County Search Dogs, San Diego Mountain Rescue, San Dimas Mountain Rescue, and Sierra Madre Search and Rescue. Specifically mentioned in the Proclamation was a search conducted for four days over the Mother's Day weekend, and for several days thereafter, on which these teams worked with RMRU searching for Debbie Huglin who got lost while hiking in Apple Canyon in the San Jacinto Mountains. On Day Three of the search, a skilled SAR mountaineer fell, injuring his leg, and had to be evacuated by helicopter.
