Ortega Highway Search

You wouldn't think it would be that common to get a mission during one of our monthly team meetings, but it seems to happen every year or so. Ten minutes into our meeting on July 6th we got a call for a stranded hiker in hot conditions on a trail above the Candy Store on the Ortega Highway above Elsinore. We wrapped up the meeting and headed out for the mission, but the missing hiker was located just as we were getting ready to deploy into the field. We were pleased that the hiker was safe and also pleased not to have to hike in 85 degree weather at 9 p.m.
