Missing Man in Idyllwild

Approximately 5 pm RMRU received the call out for a missing man suffering from Alzheimer who had wondered away from his home in Idyllwild. There was a huge response from RMRU, The local volunteer Mountain Community Patrol and DSAR was on stand by if needed.

The search ended soon after the call out, with the man being found a short distance away from his home by some passing tourist on highway 243. The man had fallen in a driveway and needed medical attention, Idyllwild Fire attended to him and transported him to a local hospital.
