Hiker Search Overdue

We were called out the early morning of the 12th for an avid hiker who possibly ran out of water in the desert on day three of her four-day hike. Cell phone contact was lost and her friend from LA was worried about her.

We arrived on the scene early in the morning, picked up tracks from around the vehicle, and started up the wash. We had a potential area the subject was hiking and possible last know contact area.

We met the subject just over half a mile up the wash. She was in good spirits and medically well. After giving her some water we all hiked out together. Rescue 9 was overhead, however the subject wanted to walk out on her own.
